An extra layer of protection for your product’s packaging
A chipboard pad is a flat piece of chipboard that can be used as packaging protection for all kinds of products. At RDR we can easily produce chipboard pads in a number of different styles, thicknesses and sizes – and at a great price. And because we’re a company dedicated to eco-friendly processes, you can rest assured that your chipboard pads have been created with sustainability in mind.
Versatile, Durable and Functional
The RDR team can provide chipboard pads in any size and caliper, and in a variety of materials. We offer brown chipboard, CCNB (Clay Coated News Back), SBS (Solid Bleached Sulfate) and Poly coated to meet your every need.
Our chipboard pads can be used as:
- Added protection for products being shipped in a box
- A stiffener in a mailer or letter to keep papers straight
- Layer/divider cards to sit between or around products during shipping
At RDR we’re always working on improving our processes to make them more eco-friendly. Currently, we source our cardboard material from two mills in Canada, which both recycle used cardboard material to make new products.
We buy rolls of recycled cardboard from these two mills, and use these rolls to make all our chipboard and corrugated cardboard packaging products. When buying chipboard pads from RDR, you can be certain that they came from a sustainable source.
Chipboard Pads: A Case Study
Our eco-friendly chipboard pads have proved useful for companies across many different industries. Recently, we helped solve a packaging problem for a promotional company that sells toys and inserts to cereal companies. The company wanted to use chipboard pads to protect the inserts, but wasn’t sure what exactly they needed.
As explained in full here, the RDR team worked out a way of supplying chipboard pads to this company at a fantastic price compared to what they would have paid elsewhere; in this case, the calculated savings amounted to $10,000 a year!
